Scoring methodology · Version 3.2

How we score crypto cards

Same ten questions, fixed weights and the same evidence rules for every card. We score the base tier you get on day one, from issuer documents only — and money never touches the score.

3
Score

The editorial team scores each metric 1.0, 0.5 or 0 against the written threshold.

Evidence and independence

We earn a commission on partner links. These rules keep that money — and marketing claims — away from the score.

What counts as evidence

Never used: press releases, affiliate dashboards, social posts.

Walls between money and score

Not scored: top-tier rates, token price, sign-up bonuses and our commission. Reader ratings (★ 1–5) are shown separately and never change the ranking.

05

Corrections and version history

Errors are fixed within 48 hours and published next to the original. When the method changes, every card is re-scored the same day.

06

Known limitations

Testing is EU/UK-based

Onboarding and support times may differ elsewhere; country hubs flag known differences.

Not every card is held

Only the top 30 are tested hands-on; the rest are scored from documents, and their pages say so.

Not advice

Scores compare products on one fixed rubric — not your tax position, local rules or token-price risk.

Think a score is wrong? Tell us which metric and send the source. Corrections are published with the original entry.
